Hey, friends! I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend, I sure did! I haven’t done a snippet post since last year and a lot has been going on since, so it’s the perfect time to bring it back. 2015 has been a roller coaster of emotions, good, bad, and really bad. If I’ve learned anything this year it’s being positive goes a long, long way.
Last month I launched a rebrand of my PAPERCHAT shoppe. I was only selling on Etsy but decided to branch out and opened a second store on Squarespace. I would ultimately love to leave Etsy behind, there’s so much copying and stealing of other peoples work it’s disheartening. I’m tired of finding other people selling my designs and can’t wait to close shop there.
Be Free-Lance Course
The Be Free-Lance course is officially over, where did those 4 weeks go? I learnt a lot from the course and feel a lot better about pursuing freelance. I have a lot of days when I wonder what the heck I am doing, and if I should just get a paying office job, but something deep inside me tells me that that’s not what I want and freelance is my ultimate goal. I hope to write review on the course sometime this week and if anyone is debating on whether or not they want to take the course it will hopefully help them decide.
Jeff and I booked our plane tickets this weekend and we are headed to the West Coast in July/August. We will be road tripping from Vancouver to Vegas with stops in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. Vegas falls on my 30th and I can’t think of a better way to bring in a new decade, while forgetting I’m turning 30. If anyone of you are in any of those cities I would LOVE to hear of places to go, including restaurants, bars, and places to get great photos. I’m also open to meeting other creatives in those areas 🙂
This could turn into a whole other blog post and I actually might do that another day. There really isn’t enough awareness on thyroid disorders. Honestly, last year I couldn’t even tell you what a thyroid was, this year I could tell you everything about it. Long story short I found a nodule on my neck in January and it’s been a month of tests and waiting around. Tomorrow I go in for a fine needle aspiration, aka a biopsy. I’m not looking forward to it at all but I can’t wait to get this over with and move on with life. Please send all the good vibes this way 🙂
Have a nice, productive Monday, friends!
