A New Normal

Hey friends! It’s been awhile since I posted here so I thought I’d let everyone know how things are going.

As I mentioned in my last post my Endo bumped up my dosage of Synthroid to 137mcg. I’ve been on it for 13 days and haven’t really noticed that much of a difference compared to the 125mcg. The only thing that really hits me is how tired I am in the mornings now. When I was on the 125mcg I would get a huge burst of energy after taking it. I kind of miss that energy.

Overall life on Synthroid ain’t terrible. In fact, it’s a lot better than when I had my thyroid. Taking it every morning is still a bit of a pain and I’m still not a fan of having to do it. If there’s one thing I wish I didn’t do before my surgery was read other people’s experiences on the drug. Everyone is different and just because someone has a terrible experience on it doesn’t mean you will. Once you get your dosage balanced out you WILL feel like a million bucks.

It’s been about a week and half now that I started to work out religiously. I’ve start Jillian Michaels Ripped In 30 in the morning and then will run 1-2 miles at night. It feels good getting back in shape and having the energy and confidence I once had. I now have that urge to take on a new day, work hard on my business, and enjoy life again.

I wish I could tell my cancerous self that it gets better and it’s a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t go back to having a thyroid for anything, it was completely useless.

If you’re reading this and need someone to vent to or just talk feel free to contact me. I’ve enjoyed messaging everyone so far that has had questions 🙂
